One of Rabbi Labaton’s personal goals throughout his life was the complete his PhD study. He had been working on his thesis, a study of the life of Rabenu Avraham Maimonides, for over thirty years. In 2012, the Rabbi submitted his final dissertation, and in 2013 was awarded his Doctorate in Philosophy from Brandeis University.
